A 60-unit pen is a measuring device, not a compound. Its usefulness is entirely about resolution: reading a draw off clearly separated marks is more reliable than reading the same volume off a barrel where the marks are crowded together.
That interacts directly with how you reconstitute. Concentration is set by how much bacteriostatic water you add, and concentration determines how many units a given amount occupies. Below roughly two units, any barrel becomes hard to read honestly — the fix is more water, not a steadier hand.

What ships, and what is on the certificate
The vial ships sealed as it was filled. Every compound in the catalogue is tested by an outside laboratory — Vanguard Laboratory in Olympia, Washington — and the certificate is published in full rather than summarised.
The certificate reports chromatographic purity by HPLC with the chromatogram visible, the measured quantity in milligrams, and an endotoxin result by LAL. Measured quantity usually reads slightly above the label, which is normal: fills are targeted high so every vial meets its stated content.
Frequently asked questions
What does one unit mean?
On a U-100 scale, one unit is 0.01 mL. That holds regardless of barrel size — a smaller barrel simply spreads the same marks further apart.
How do I know which device I need?
Calculate the volume per draw first. The reconstitution calculator does that and warns when the draw exceeds the barrel or falls below about two units.
Is this a medicine?
