GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide)
Price range: $29.99 through $49.99
What GHK-Cu is
GHK is three amino acids — glycine, histidine, lysine. On its own it is an unremarkable tripeptide. Bound to copper(II) it becomes GHK-Cu, and essentially the entire research literature concerns the complex rather than the free peptide.
The distinction is not pedantic. A coordination complex is a defined chemical species in which the metal is held by the ligand. Free peptide plus a copper salt is not the same material, and studies of one do not transfer to the other.
Handling a copper complex
The blue colour is the copper, and it is the most useful handling cue you have: it is a property of the intact complex. Colour that looks wrong is worth a question in a way it would not be for a colourless peptide.
Otherwise the usual rules apply — cold, dark, reconstituted slowly down the vial wall without shaking. Because the complex involves a metal centre, it is worth being deliberate about what else goes into the same solution.
Storage
What ships, and what is on the certificate
The vial ships sealed as it was filled. Every compound in the catalogue is tested by an outside laboratory — Vanguard Laboratory in Olympia, Washington — and the certificate is published in full rather than summarised.
The certificate reports chromatographic purity by HPLC with the chromatogram visible, the measured quantity in milligrams, and an endotoxin result by LAL. Measured quantity usually reads slightly above the label, which is normal: fills are targeted high so every vial meets its stated content.
